| No Comment | Bizcommunity.com is pleased to announce two partnerships to assist in fostering professional communications and networking in the public relations industry. The first is with industry personality, Brian Berkman, who in a short space of time with his networking forum, PR-Net, has managed to inject a new spark into an industry that is worst at promoting itself and networking for the betterment of its craft. The second media partnership is with Marcus Evans Conferences, to bring events relevant to the marketing and communications industry to our readers. The first event on the Marcus Evans calendar is 'PR and Corporate Communications', 14 - 16 March 2005, Park Hyatt Hotel, Rosebank, Johannesburg. In this new 'fast food' economy of ours, delineated by constant innovation and hamstrung by time famine, it is imperative that we continue the learning journey to encourage creativity and network, network, network. The best place to do this is at industry specific events where our homegrown experts share their hard-won experiences.
Happy Valentines! Louise Marsland, Editor, editor@bizcommunity.com

Affiliate marketing with personality: a beginner's guide [Fabrizia Esposti ] Affiliate marketing is not brain surgery. All it takes is determination, hard work and an understanding of the basic principles behind it. My aim today is to de-mystify affiliate marketing for those wanting to start up their own programmes.
Hourly billing - answering the call of the service industry Keeping track of billable hours can be difficult in the service industry. When a company bills for services rendered, they often face challenges such as the accuracy of invoicing, time sheet management and correct fee billing. Also, the manual process nature of this, places an organisation at risk of human error while capturing data. For most companies that 'sell' a service, time is certainly equated to money.
