East Coast Radio rallied businesses and residents across KwaZulu-Natal on Friday, 20 November 2015, raising R1,244,712 for its longstanding CSI initiative. Every cent of the money raised for East Coast Radio's Toy Story with Game will be used to purchase food parcels for underprivileged children in the province, in particular child-headed households.

Is some life more valuable than others? Or does expressing solidarity with one sector of people mean that we are ignoring another? While attacks in other parts of the world seem to barely make it onto the international stage, the terrorist attacks in the French capital have drawn an outpouring of sympathy and solidarity. So it's difficult not to draw an obvious conclusion.

This holiday season, Heart FM, Game and the non-profit organisation, Newkidz on The Block, will be writing a story of joy for underprivileged children of the Western Cape. In the lead-up to Christmas the organisations will be collecting toys as part of the Game Toy Story campaign for children in need.
