ADC has a fight on its hands...

NEW YORK, US: The international creative community can now participate remotely in the ADC Young Guns 9 upcoming "A Young Guns Parade and Funeral March for Fighters and Lovers" kick-off event in New York via ADC's "I Fight For" project (www.adcyoungguns.org/enter/ifightfor/):

    How to participate:

    • Any creative in the world is eligible to send a zip file to info@adcyoungguns.org (subject line "I Fight For") containing a black and white headshot with your best fighting face, and a text file with name, location and answer to the question "What do you fight for?"
    • Images and text from participants will be enlarged and featured on the walls of the ADC Gallery in NYC on the night of the party, 24 March.
    • Submissions must be received by 22 March midnight.

The "A Young Guns Parade and Funeral March for Fighters and Lovers" event (see image attached) and I Fight For project continue the dramatic and dark "secret society" theme designed for this year's YG9 call for entries by Nessim Higson (YG5) to express the message that creatives are in a constant battle to fight for their work.

The NYC event will include an outrageous live performance by the Gorgeous Ladies of Blood Wrestling (G.L.O.B., https://www.facebook.com/bloodwrestling), who describe themselves as "live lady warriors, with ridiculous vendettas, wrestling in fake blood to punk!", live music from dark Brooklyn band Nihiti, whose album Other People's Memories was recently released on the Lo Bit Landscapes label (www.nihiti.com, soundcloud.com/nihiti), and DJ sets from Brooklyn's The Surveyor.

The call for entries for ADC Young Guns 9 opens today. For complete details and to enter, go to www.adcyoungguns.org/.
