Naspers is to offer a bouquet of television stations to people in Uganda for just US$7-a-month and is planning to roll-out similar packages in other parts of Africa according to an article published by Business Report.
It says that Naspers added 977 000 pay-TV subscribers to its existing base of 4,9-million subscribers in the past year of which 3,5-million are South Africans. The channels in this US$7-bouquet include news, entertainment and religious programmes.

The purchase price for the decoders will remain at around US$50 or maybe slightly less according to Eben Greyling, chief executive of pay-TV for Naspers.
