Cerebra, an integrated strategic communication agency, will be hosting free social media 101 sessions, aimed at any social media beginner looking to learn more about the tools, the trends or the industry in general.
The agency, which has clients ranging from Vodacom, Toyota, Lexus and Nedbank through to the JSE, Amadeus, GIBS and Symantec, will offer a two hour session. Broken up in to a theory and practical portion, its experienced staff will be on hand to facilitate with questions and answers and to set users up on various platforms.

Mike Stopforth, CEO of Cerebra says, "There's more than enough hype and buzz around social media and social media marketing, but not enough input from the people who do the work for big brands - we want to fix that." Participants will learn all there is to know about the basics of social media - how to get up and running and how to use it in a personal or professional capacity.

The first social media 101 workshop will be held at the Norton Rose building in Sandton from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, 12 March 2013.

It also offers an advanced course for those already in the industry. For more, go to www.cerebra.co.za.
