Any business can register to make use of the website's online marketing optimisation model, which has simplified search engine optimisation (SEO) and targeted marketing. The website offers a rich selection of features that are designed to increase the online presence of all registered businesses, while providing functional value to the registered individual user.

Sweech founder, Alvin Phiri says, "We have a few online business directories in South Africa, yet there is still a need for a more interactive and value based business listing facility that goes beyond just listing businesses but enables listed business to optimise the benefit of belonging to a platform."

Registration of a business is free; however a small monthly premium will give businesses access to leads, SEO facility, detailed statistics and demographics of traffic to their profiles. Each business will be able to send promotional emails to selected users. In addition, companies can also increase their visibility with banner adverts, sponsored columns and featured profiling.

Growth in SA's SME sector

The company is particularly interested in seeing growth in the South African SME sector and is well positioned to cater for businesses across multiple industries using a world class, yet locally relevant, service. There is also going to be a focus on producing locally relevant editorial content.

"We recognise that we empower and inspire our community by telling them success stories - we can learn lessons through anyone, from business leaders on their 18th floor offices to the man running his business in a Spaza shop," says Phiri.

To fulfil this mandate, the editorial team is busy engaging industry experts and interviewing business leaders and the everyday entrepreneur to generate content for the columns. It has also commissioned columnists to produce lifestyle, business, technology and entertainment features.

The official breakfast launch is today 3 July 2012 at the Woodmead Country Club. For more, go to www.sweech.co.za, follow @Sweechsa on Twitter or go to the Facebook page.
