To address the widely known problem of sub-standard education infrastructure in the Eastern Cape, the Department of Public Works has partnered with a local manufacturer of prefabricated buildings, Kwikspace Modular Buildings, to provide temporary, alternative schooling facilities until permanent schools under the government's school makeover programme are provided.
