Denel and the SAAF have agreed to retain 139 skilled jobs. So at least sense has prevailed in this instance.

anti-corruption bureau is to fast track cases against public servants. Now, one hopes that will apply across the board - right to the very top... you know... the cabinet, if evidence of corruption is found?
Finally, our very own bright spark, motoring editor Henrie Geyser reckons that

Sarel du Plessis, executive director of OHMSA, has returned from the United States with details of a pro-bono collaboration between the OAAA (Outdoor Advertising Association of America) and a number of state departments. The collaboration lends itself to catching criminals, and also supporting charities. 
Edcon has come on board as the main sponsor this year - for a period of three years - of Casual Day, with the aim of raising R6 million in sticker donations at all its stores and in addition, contributing R11 million towards the project over the period. 
The annual 'Create Happiness Drive', a collaboration between Stor-Age and the Round Table, has shown significant growth in its third year. A 100m² of goods were collected at Stor-Age stores in the 2012 Create Happiness Drive, twice as much as the 50m² the previous year.
