Living on the Edge

Fancy a decent sized serving of edge? From Dark Nights Rising to homosexual awakenings, to the announcement of rap/rock band Linkin Park to perform in SA for the first time - gives this Tuesday newsletter a fairly hardcore feel.

In movie news, Daniel Dercksen reviews male stripper movie Magic Mike as well as the gothic-thriller The Woman in Black while Charles Siboto ruminates on what it would take to become a Batman character in the South African context.

On the theatrical side of things, provocative play The Bus deals with sexual identity while Mike van Graan's production Just Business displays some dark comedy.

Keeping on theme, Duan Wanty "Finds His Edge" at the launch of denim brand, Wrangler in Joburg.

On a less edgy note contributing travel editor Brain Berkman lives the serene life at the Anantara's Dhigu Resort in the Maldives and motoring editor Henrie Geyser reviews the classy but somewhat bland MG6 GT.

Two tickets to the Decorex Joburg are up for grabs this week. #Winning!
