Nigerian publisher of ThisDay, Nduka Obaigbena, has assured creditors and staff of the daily newspaper, that he will not turn his back on the substantial investment his media empire has made in South Africa. Talks, brokered by ABSA, are ongoing with investors to try resolve the financial crisis the paper finds itself in.

Pretoria – Despite 94.7 Highveld Stereo's pre-emptive strike by suspending the two DJ's concerned, the Legal Adviser to the President, Adv Mojanku Gumbi, has formally lodged a complaint with the Broadcasting Complaints Commission against Highveld Stereo over the broadcast on the radio station on 28 April 2004 relating to President Olusegun Obasanjo of Nigeria.
