The Charge of the Fight Brigade
NEWSWATCH: Remember that "Don't touch me on my studio" row? Well, now a charge of intimidation has been laid... three years after the event, reports IOL (video).
For more:
IOL: Charge laid over 'touch me on my studio' row... In April 2010 Liepollo Pheko and Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging secretary-general Andre Visagie had what many reckon is one of TV's more memorable moments, which ended with Visagie losing his cool. He told Pheko "you won't dare, you won't dare interrupting (sic) me..." and host Chris Maroleng came out with the unforgettable order to Visagie to not "touch me on my studio".
Now Pheko has laid a charge of intimidation... three years after the event and, one might suppose, after three years of sleepless nights, not for any publicity, but "for my children" (her children, that is).
Since the collective noun for court cases could (perhaps should) be a "postponement" of court cases, if the charge ends up in court, a postponement or three are not impossible, so this could drag on for another three years or so.
