Bullard speaks candidly on local podcast

Sacked Sunday Times columnist and controversial writer David Bullard appears as a special guest on this week's episode of ZA Tech Show - a weekly South African technology podcast. In the show, Bullard speaks candidly about his exit from the Sunday Times and presents his side of the story, while motivating his apology which was recently printed in Business Day.

Bullard was fired as a columnist from the Sunday Times following the publication of an article that has been accused of being racist and insensitive.

"We discussed David Bullard's sacking in a previous episode of the show," explains the Financial Mail's Duncan McLeod, one of the podcast's presenters. "Bullard heard the show and asked to appear on a future episode in person."

ZA Tech Show host Simon Dingle says, "This was a great opportunity for Bullard to openly present his side of the story in a form of broadcast media that has no loyalties or affiliations to any of the parties involved. This has also been one of the few interviews with Bullard since the publication of his apology."

Says Brett Haggard, founder of ZA Tech Show, "It was also fun to chat about technology with David; a prerequisite for appearing on the podcast is that guests must join in for the discussions around the week's technology news."

ZA Tech Show is presented by Simon Dingle, Jon Tullett, Ben Kelly, Duncan McLeod and Brett Haggard. It is available for free weekly download, or subscription at www.zatechshow.co.za.
