Long term rates from SABC TV

Last week the SABC launched its first-ever long-term rate card to the advertising Industry. “For the first time in the SABC’s history, advertisers can book airtime within the most sought after and watched TV programmes in South Africa – right up to the end of the year,” explains Strini Naicker, GM: SABC TV Sales.
Continues Naicker, “In an Industry where innovation and a competitive edge are must-have character traits, the SABC ‘s long–term TV rate card fits the bill to the T and offers the Industry the ultimate tool to plan ahead, to create the future: a 360 degree overview of the offerings across all three SABC TV channels.”

Over and above the monthly rate card, and given the challenge of limited airtime availability in popular time slots, this new service allows clients to “cherry pick” spots in advance and at a guaranteed price.

The SABC long-term TV rate card allows for advance booking in prime time across SABC 1, 2 and 3 within the popular local soaps such as Generations, Isidingo, Muvhango, lifestyle programmes such as Morning Live and Top Billing, within motivational programmes such as Oprah, Dr Phil, 3Talk and the Tyra Banks Show.

The industry can also target its brand messages around SABC News. The rate card also offers the opportunity to book spots in the international soapie slots (The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our lives).
