Marketing services company, Scangroup, has announced the finalisation of its expansion plans into Nigeria. The statement was made at Scangroup's Annual General Meeting held in Nairobi, Kenya, late last week.
The company's CEO Bharat Thakar believes Nigeria to be the next biggest advertising market outside South and Eastern Africa, and says the company will be making its mark in West Africa within the next two months. Prior to the meeting, Scangroup is the holding company for advertising agencies McCann Kenya; Lowe Scanad (Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda); RedSky Kenya Ltd and Grey East Africa, to name a few.

Isaiah Opiyo of the Kenya Times reports.

Prior to the meeting, Lowe Scanad Uganda announced its aquisition of 'certain' business and assets of RedSky Uganda, which includes the advertising contract for Uganda Telecom Ltd. See AllAfrica.com for more details.
