MTV lives on

I, and I suspect many others, have a severe case of arms deal fatigue. We're going on two years since the commission was set up to determine whether there was any corruption involved in procurement contracts that were awarded in the '90s. The public hearings, were underway in Pretoria, this week, but have since been postponed for two weeks to allow for the declassification of certain documents. Here's hoping it'll be smooth sailing from there on...

ICRC provides food and farming aid to Darfur
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is providing food, seed and farming tools to roughly 450,000 people in Darfur. Most of the beneficiaries are families in and around Jebel Marra and Jebel Si, and in areas near Zalingay.
