New R5 million economics journalism initiative
Rhodes University, with R5 million funding and institutional support from the South African Reserve Bank, is setting up an African Economics Journalism Centre (AEJC) aimed at improving the quality of economics and business journalism in South Africa and elsewhere in Africa. The AEJC will offer post-graduate training to recent graduates and mid-career journalists, as well as conduct research into economics journalism. For more, click here.
