Spanish culture on film
The eighth Spanish Film Festival takes place 11 April – 8 May 2008 at Cinema Nouveau cinemas around the country. “The Spanish film industry is forever evolving, with our filmmakers stretching the boundaries of film even further,” says Raimundo Robredo, cultural counsellor of the Spanish Embassy. From 11 – 17 April, the films will be exhibited at Cinema Nouveau in Brooklyn Mall, Pretoria, before moving on to Rosebank Mall, Johannesburg, 18 – 24 April. Then it's on to Gateway in Durban, 25 April – 1 May and lastly the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, 2 – 8 May.
