Linda Gibson is CEO of Ads24, Media24's newspaper and digital sales arm. She started her career in the African media and advertising industry in 1986, at Capro Ltd, the sales and marketing arm of selected independent community newspapers and specialist magazines. Linda then joined Times Media Ltd, selling national advertising across Sunday Times, Business Day and Financial Mail. She diversified into television and radio, representing TV Africa throughout Sub-Saharan Africa, securing revenue for sports and entertainment programming. In 2003 she joined the SABC as Sales and Sponsorship Manager: Radio and TV. In 2006 Linda joined a sponsorship consultancy and television production company, which gave her valuable insight into the running of an agency and production house. From 2008 consultancy work followed, to a new media owner in the television taxi industry. At the end of 2008 Linda joined Ads24 and is currently CEO. She served on the AMASA committee from 1998 and was appointed Vice Chairperson in 2000, holding this position until 2003. She currently sits on the SAARF PDMSA Research Subcommittee, and the SAARF, MASA and ABC boards. In the prestigious 2012 MOST Awards, Linda was named Media Owner Legend of the Year.
