Chocolate Festival

This first time Chocolate Festival promises to bring a sensational line-up of exhibitors, chefs cooking with chocolate, chocolate spa's, entertainment, a chocolate and candy fairyland for the younger visitors, a theme park with jumping castles and inflatable toys, musicians, puppet shows, drumming to list but a few.

Adding to the list of exhibitors you will find a variety of wine, liqueur, brandy and whiskeys. Also included are sweets, candy, ice-cream, mousse, yoghurt, biscuits, snacks and breakfast cereals containing chocolate.

In our coffee lane, you will experience the aroma of coffee that will certainly put a test to your taste buds from various branded coffees such as and not excluding others, African, Brazilian, Asia Pacific and Italian coffees to choose from.

To add a touch of class to our coffee lane, you will find a variety of exclusive line-ups of investment and other cars.

Further adding to the touch of class you will find exclusive ranges of hand-made chocolate, chocolate diamonds, chocolate make-up ranges, exclusive fragrances, various tasting sessions that will include variations of chocolate-wine-beer tastings, chocolate-beer-biltong tastings, chocolate-wine-coffee-liqueur tastings not to exclude others. Add a cigar to this and you will find yourself in the cigar lounge.

For the ladies we have our chocolate therapy and spa's which may be enjoyed to their heart's desire.

Hands-on educational workshops on nutritional value of chocolate as a raw food, importance of child nutrition, the growing problem of food allergies, dealing with diabetes and potential health risks of obesity will be held during the course of the festival.

The theatre kitchens promise to bring you another joyful experience where you can join us daily for cooking and tasting sessions with South Africa's finest chefs. A recipe book with all the chefs' recipes that are used during the festival is planned to be released afterwards and copies can be ordered from the organisers' office. Prue Leith Chefs Academy is sponsoring the back-up service to the chefs in the theatre kitchens.
