"Ride for a Child" charity bike run

“Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul,”

The Johannesburg Child Welfare Society is hosting their first annual charity bike run called ‘Ride for a Child' to raise much needed funds for some of their 14 000 children they support.

The drivers will journey from N, S, E and W to Tempo's on Hans Strijdom Drive in Fourways. This day will be filled with entertainment that includes two live bands, food stalls, beer gardens and many competitions with great prizes. With an expected 2500 participants, the day will bring much needed funding to a worthy cause whilst bikers enjoy a good morning run. The entrance fee is R95 per rider. Each rider will receive a rubber engraved wrist band and a custom made temporary tattoo which will ensure them access into the venue.

The Johannesburg Child Welfare Society was established In 1909 and is a registered non-profit organisation with 18A Tax Exemption status. The Society provides a range of direct services to abused, abandoned, orphaned and neglected children in the Greater Johannesburg area.

During our last financial year over 14 000 children, their families and communities in distress were assisted by the society. This would not have been possible without the assistance of our donors as the cost of providing the whole range of vital services is enormous.
