Fake SA Presidential Facebook pages removed

| 6 Jun 2011 14:15
The Presidency - which welcomes the growing interest in its social media accounts and which will continue to use these to reach the public - has cautioned that President Zuma does not have a personal Facebook account and is only reachable through the Presidency Facebook page and the official Twitter-verified (blue tick by user name) accounts, @PresidencyZA and @SAPresident. Any supposed "Jacob Zuma" page on Facebook is fake and run by imposters and the Presidency has, with the help of Facebook managers, removed some of these. All official social media accounts, which include YouTube and Flickr, may also be accessed from www.thepresidency.gov.za.
