J.C. le Roux commissioned Sisters Act to create two glamorous events that
embodied the spirit and lavish energy of the brand and its new offering.
Members of the alcohol and hospitality industries were invited to attend the event on
Tuesday 6th September and consumer guests on Wednesday 7th September.
The Sisters Act team sourced the venue, conceptualised the look and feel in
collaboration with Matt Advertising, facilitated the setup, ran the technical
elements, sourced entertainment and the MC, oversaw the bar and catering,
organised transport and booked guest accommodation.
The Rooftop Terrace was selected as the venue - a dazzling event space set on a
rooftop at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The venue boasts magnificent views
from within a glass sided tent structure.
Upon arrival at the event guests were invited to enter a maze installation
comprising of six inter-leading rooms each representing a step in the traditional
process of bottling sparkling wine. A member of the Distell team explained each
step of production while sound and visual effects dazzled guests. After completing
the maze guests entered the Tasting Room where an array of delectable canapés
including duck spring rolls and risotto balls were served, each carefully selected
to compliment the refreshing Méthode Cap Classique.
Vibrant 5fm DJ and J.C. le Roux brand ambassador Anele Mdoda welcomed
guests to the event and introduced winemaker Elunda Basson who spoke briefly
about J.C. le Roux Brut and the other products in the elegant product portfolio.
Guests were then instructed to turn and face a large white wall on which an audio
visual (AV) on Le Good Life was screened.
Upon completion of the AV the white wall slowly lifted to reveal a third luxurious
entertainment lounge complete with stage, casino, performance artists and
interactive food stations serving everything from stir fry to Brut branded red
velvet cupcakes.
Amanda Tiffin and her jazz band played delightful background music in both the
Tasting Room and entertainment lounge. Guests at the consumer launch enjoyed
live entertainment in the lounge by Goodluck an upshot act from Cape Town that have taken their fans by storm with what has been a whirlwind eight months of performing in the Mother City.
