SABC 2 (20H30-Tswana/Sotho) News presentation style is not attractive especially studio interviews
I have noticed for sometimes now that the news presentation style used by SABC 2 in the evening slot (20h30-Tswana/Sotho)is not attractive at all.Live studio interviews during news is boring, old style, lack of creativity and is time-wasting especially in that slot wherein most of the news channels have already broadcast their news.

The power of TV as one of the most important communication channels is its ability to incorporate various key body senses within a multimedia representation.People prefer to see what they hear, to feel what they touch, to smell what they see as well as taste what they want to eat etc.

As a viewer of the channel I expect these expectations to be met all the time regardless of whatever condition, otherwise I switch over to the other channel or play dvd or music cd.At that time of the news (20h30) people are already tired and need something refreshing and worthwhile watching on tv.

Not even the "over decorated" studio guests and artificial make-up of the news presenters talking on an uninteresting topic and looking so pale burnt of whatever might have happened during the day can save the situation.People want to see real news and not watching uninteresting and very poor productions and set-ups environment as is the case with 20h30 SABC 2 News slot. They want something alive and visually represented-not a studio guest who some time struggle to take on debates and question as they come for a long time. The three or so-minutes allocated for this crap is too much and a waste of airtime.

I view this kind of news production and presentation style as very lazy and boring to many who sits in their homestead couches in anticipation of watching worthwhile news.Sometimes this kind of news production, packaging and style are met with very poor camera shots, busy background of the studio scene as well as untidy sticking-tapes/plasters administered (stuck out) on the neck and/or earlobe of the studio guest.Sometimes, you find news presenters whose make-up and costumes are so terrible to watch, for instance a presenter with over-pampered make-ups of a red lips gloss which looks so horrible. This is very bad.PERIOD.

Can somebody advise the entire production crew of this news slot (SABC 2-Tswana/Sotho)to improve on this unenticing and devastating situation.People would want to watch interesting and eye-catchy things and not the crap we see every weekday evening.
