Amongst the SA Product of the Year awards, announced late last week, Unilever had 13 of its products scoop this prestigious title. The winning products were selected as the best innovators in their categories by a sample of 5000 independent consumers representing the South African grocery population.
"Our products daily touch the quality of life of South Africans in many meaningful ways and it is pleasing to be rewarded for the significant investment in product innovation that leads to capturing more hearts and minds in our quest to be the best in a highly competitive market," says Marijn van Tiggelen, chair of Unilever South Africa.
In referring to the group's sustainable living plan, Van Tiggelen said, "Our plan is designed to reduce our impacts across the whole lifecycle of our products. Innovation and technology will be key to achieving these reductions."Winners:

Established in France 25 years ago, Product of the Year is an independent organisation operating in 28 countries with the sole purpose of guiding consumers to choose the best products and to reward manufacturers for quality and innovation.
