The Mobile Marketing Forum, held earlier this week in the US, saw the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) launch its mobile marketer certification program, update its definition of mobile marketing and launch the industry's first global survey research panel.
Certification
MMA Track is a program consisting of three certification tiers, intensive training and assessment to progress levels of knowledge and experience that is open to individuals and organizations of all skill levels. It includes industry terminology, budgeting and financial planning for mobile campaigns, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Definition updated
The definition of mobile marketing has been expanded to include current technologies and practices that enable organizations to communicate and engage with their audience through any mobile device or network.
Global survey research panel
Produced in partnership with Kinesis Survey Technologies, the panel is designed to provide brands and agencies with deep, actionable insights into marketers' integrated mobile campaigns, objectives and outcomes. It has a mobile-enabled survey capability to address marketing challenges on the go, representing the industry's first research capability to collect data via the mobile channel.
