Politics Web: Lord Hoffman clears MTN over Iran deal - MTN... Turkcell lost out to MTN in its bid to the 2nd GSM Licence in Iran during 2005. So it accused MTN of a number of dodgy dealings. Now Lord Hoffman's committee has found Turkcell's allegations to be "a fabric of lies, distortions and inventions".
It remains to be see whether Turkcell accepts the findings or not. Don't be surprised if the latter applies.
