94.7 Highveld Stereo's Rude Awakening breakfast show host Jeremy Mansfield has completed a six-month course of chemotherapy and his doctors are satisfied with the results.
Mansfield will not be undergoing any follow-up treatment plan this year as he will be dedicating his time to Christmas Wish, an initiative that reaches out to those less fortunate by making their Christmas wishes come true. In January 2010, doctors will perform more tests to establish the way forward.
"I feel tired, which is normal following chemo treatment, but my head is in the same positive state it was when I was first diagnosed with the disease," he said, and added: "I would like to thank everyone for the incredible support they've shown me and for all the encouragement."
