Banking hits the streets and malls

When you least expect it, Go Banking, brought to you by Nedbank in association with Pick ‘n Pay, has been seen across the country at major intersections and shopping malls.

This visibility, which forms part of the brand's re-launch, includes some 500 life-size Go Banking figurines and 47 giant billboards in major metropolitan centres.

According to Steve Bedingfield of Go Banking, the figurines can be customised to suit any occasion, with speech bubbles relaying the bank's thoughts on industry happenings, such as ‘Bank where you want', ‘Easy banking', ‘Telling it like it is', Bank while you shop', ‘Get money back' and ‘What customers want'.

“By being able to change the message, we remain relevant and topical. For example, we could place a host of Go Banking ‘protestors' in strategic locations to object to high bank charges,” says Bedingfield.

He went on to say the figurines also position the bank as a challenger brand and maintains that it differentiates itself from other brands by focusing on inexpensive and easy banking solutions rather than hype.

Keep an eye open for the figurines that will be visible at busy interactions, shopping malls and Pick ‘n Pay stores across the country.
