AFDA Cape Town bursary programme

18 Feb 2003 14:041 commentsBizLike
The newly established campus of AFDA Cape Town, The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance which was recently listed in the top 6 Private Tertiary institutions in South Africa are offering full bursaries to their Degree Programmes in Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance.
This opportunity is extended exclusively to historically disadvantaged South African students and is in keeping with AFDA's mission to create a student body which is representative of South Africa's demographics, as well as ensure that AFDA products reflect the diverse cultural landscape of South Africa.

Students require a minimum Grade 12 or equivalent, however, exceptions will be made for mature age students (23 years and older).

Should you be interested in being considered for the AFDA Bursary Programme please contact Laun or Farieda on 021 448 7600 and visit our website for course details - www.filmdramaschool.co.za.

Is this for real?-
There are about 4/5 students from the previously disadvantaged community who are currently students at AFDA in Cape Town and are in need of this bursary. To them this has been presented as a loan, which they will have to repay after they finish their studies, and not as a bursary.

I'm just wondering why AFDA is advertising this externally and not giving it to the students that they currently have this year. Posted on 25 Feb 2003 13:52
