Memeburn: Twitter now lets you receive DMs from people you're not following... The report states that you no longer have to follow someone on Twitter for them to send you a direct message. This option however, is off by default, so you'll have to activate it yourself.
ReadWrite: Twitter's Direct Messages, a vehicle for spam, no longer accepts links... According to the report, this could be a result of Twitter's move to broaden the range of accounts that can send each other direct messages and could thus be an effort to combat spam.
