MediaCom appoints new COO for EMEA region

Jarvie has been briefed to work with MediaCom's local market teams, ensuring they have the resources and specialist skills they need to deliver campaigns for clients. In line with the agency's philosophy of 'People First, Better Results', he will lead efforts to reinforce MediaCom's reputation as the media agency with talented staff, working with market CEOs to attract, retain and motivate media thinkers.

Jarvie joined MediaCom in 1997 to establish the United Kingdom's Edinburgh office. The operation recorded double-digit annual growth for a decade and became the largest media agency operating in Scotland, winning business from some of the UK's most recognised advertisers. In 2008, he also took on the role of re-establishing the MediaCom Ireland operations.

In 2009, Jarvie was appointed chief client officer at MediaCom US and was named COO in 2010. As part of the senior US leadership team, he played a key role in the growth of the MediaCom network in the US and with the expansion of additional services such as business science. Key achievements include his work in securing the Travelers business in 2009 and leading the appointment of MediaCom to the global Revlon account in late 2011.

"Euan is a proven MediaCom leader who has enjoyed great success with his development of the Scottish, Irish and US operations. He will provide inspiration to our teams while also sharing responsibility and empowering our staff to develop their skills. His task will be to continue our drive to ensure that every MediaCom office provides the same high standards of service and strategy right across the region, a programme that has been spearheaded by Josh over the last 18 months," said Nick Lawson, CEO of MediaCom, EMEA.

"I am excited to be taking on the role as EMEA COO and am looking forward to using all the experience and knowledge I have gained of across the worldwide network during the past 15 years to continue to grow this very exciting region. Having worked alongside Nick and many of MediaCom's EMEA leadership team before, I am sure we will prove a formidable and forward thinking team benefiting both clients and staff alike," said Jarvie of his appointment.

Harvey Goldhersz, Worldwide COO, MediaCom added, "Euan has done an impressive job across the US network, culminating in his vital role in us securing the global Revlon business. While I am sorry to see Euan leave the US, I know that the opportunity to be COO of such an exciting and diverse region is a perfect fit for his experience and knowledge of the network. I wish him well."
