Cullinan new Jupiter (Jhb) ECD

Tom Cullinan, newly appointed executive creative director at The Jupiter Drawing Room (Jhb).

Jupiter (Jhb) chief creative officer Graham Warsop says, “For the last two and a half years the ECD position in Jupiter (Jhb) has been vacant. We wanted to ensure we took our time to make the right appointment in what is now one of the largest advertising agency offices on the continent of Africa.

“We chose Tom because of his talent, of course, and because of his ability to inspire our clients and staff. But, just as critically, we chose Tom because he is an excellent ambassador for the agency's culture and values. He is a craftsman and a gentleman. I can think of no greater compliment.”

Cullinan will be supported in his ECD role by both Sandy de Witt as creative development officer and Warsop as chief creative officer.

Won a number of awards

Cullinan has won a number of awards, including a Loerie Grand Prix, Cannes Lions, Clio Statues and New York Festivals Medals, He has been a judge for the Loerie Awards and the New York Festivals and was recently responsible for the award winning ‘Chairs vs Champs' and ‘Bonded by Blonde' campaigns for Sasol, as well as the successful Inzalo campaign.

But, according to Jupiter (Jhb), Cullinan is also a team player and is the motivation and inspiration behind many of the agency's big campaigns for its blue chip client list. He is described as passionate about forming good relationships with clients, staff and suppliers to make better advertising.

According to Cullinan, Jupiter's work has always been distinctive for its love and passion, and it is his job is to maintain this aura.
