Loeries travel to Port Elizabeth
Fresh from its exhibition at the Design Indaba in Cape Town, The Loeries Awards winning work of 2007 has moved on to the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth. From 3 – 19 March 2008, the Travelling Exhibition, sponsored by the SABC, will display the best advertising, communication and design providing a platform for the creativity and talent in Africa and the Middle-East to shine.
Loeries MD Andrew Human says the expo gives members of the public an opportunity to interact with the artwork which offers great examples of the best print, radio and TV ads, direct marketing, non-broadcast video, live events and digital media from agencies in this region.
“The Loeries have grown in leaps and bounds from 1979 when they debuted as a mechanism to support and grow television advertising. The Awards now encompass all aspects of brand communication which is fantastic for promoting excellence and innovation in the marketing and advertising industry,” Human comments.
The Travelling Exhibition will be going around the country exhibiting at several educational institutions, corporate headquarters and the Aardklop Festival, as well as Namibia and New York.
