"My two great loves - DIY and magazines - have finally found a place together. I am thrilled to be able to grow the magazine, as it is both useful and stylish," said Malone.

Malone (28) has fulfilled managing and editing roles on the MultiChoice account at New Media and the jewellery and luxury magazine, Shine (bagged with Fair Lady magazine). She has also freelanced as a writer and subeditor for various customer titles including Mango's inflight magazine, Juice, Toyota Zone and Automobil.

Sandra Gordon of Wag the Dog Publishers, owner of the magazine, explains that finding an editor for the magazine was challenging, but "considering she is highly organised and detailed and boasts an impressive magazine work history, we know we have the right person."
