The first-ever Puma store in South Africa will launch in Cape Town in August 2006, in line with the company's global strategy to grow its presence in Africa, according to Puma South Africa MD Ronald Rink. "There are plans for more stores to be rolled out in SA and we would most likely look to Johannesburg next," he adds.
Consumers will now have access to a wide range of sports lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories available in one store. PUMA sports lifestyle products have previously only been available in selected chain and independent stores. "These stores will replicate the hugely successful PUMA stores found in all the major cosmopolitan cities of the world," says Rink.
The store opens at shop 505, Canal Walk shopping centre in Century City on Tuesday, 1 August.
A Black Panther like myself has been waiting for this good news for sooooooo long. Thanks otherwise, i guess there will be some unbelievable variety.....
For the first time consumers will be able to view the full PUMA collection presented in the PUMA way. The store will stock the newest, lifestyle ranges in footwear, apparel and accessories and be a showcase for the edgy, fashionable PUMA brand.
The shops at Atterbury and Woodmead in Johannesburg, and Access Park in Cape Town are PUMA factory outlets. The Canal Walk store will be the first "full price" retail oulet for PUMA. Posted on 27 Jul 2006 13:29
The store at Woodmead is a factory shop, the new one they’re talking about is going to be a concept store, much like the one Nike have at Sandton City. Posted on 27 Jul 2006 14:31

My son is 20, a +1 handicap and currently a member at Erinvale Golf club in Somerset West. His coach is Paul McKenzie and his number is 0829054833. He firmly believes that Jason has the talent and commitment to make it in Golf. Is there any way your company can assess Jason and consider sponsoring him for the upcoming year 2011?
