Mid-year mania

How the time does whizz by... Just the other day it felt as if we were getting ready for the close of 2012 and, with what feels like just a flutter of the eyelashes, we're already welcoming in mid-year. Luckily, the entertainment options never seem to slow down; announced this week is the lineup for the Dullstroom Winter Festival, the Country Legends and Friends concert, and the G&G Live Marquee at the Vodacom Durban July, all to take place next month.

In other music news, Brandon Williams heads off on a three-step D&B journey while reviewing Niskerone and SFR's freshly released EP, Memories.

Henrie Geyser has his socks blown off by the new Kia Cerato, while Brian Berkman spends an enjoyable retro night at the Peninsula All-Suite-Hotel, and Jordan Scott is impressed by this year's Good Food and Wine Show.

This week we have tickets to Rise & Shine, the eco-friendly acoustic music festival in Sandton Central Park, up for grabs!

Let your innner foodie out at the GFWS
[Jordan Scott] The general consensus of the Good Food and Wine Show is that it is only for those who are wine connoisseurs or can identify every herb ever used. Cerato is a Cartier Korean
[Henrie Geyser: motoring editor] The new Kia Cerato's marketing pitch is: "The power to surprise" but it does a lot more than just surprise.
