King Shaka airport goes green
The Mercury reports that Africa's largest roof-mounted photovoltaic solar power system, expected to supply more than 600 kilowatts at its peak, will be installed next to King Shaka airport at the Dube TradePort "AgriZone." The installation, to be officially launched during the 17th Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP17) in Durban, forms part of Dube TradePort's efforts to be more "green" by reducing its carbon footprint. Situma: most of SA's railway line is a liability
