SA lost 426 000 formal jobs in 15 months
South Africa has lost 426 000 jobs in the formal, non-agricultural economy in the past 15 months, according to Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan. Farmers rip-off foreign workers
In what has been labelled as a disgraceful practice, the Department of Labour is investigating opportunistic farmers accused of employing Zimbabwean farm workers and domestic workers and then, instead of paying them on payday, reporting them to the immigration officials and having them deported instead.
