SABC2 official public broadcaster of Beijing Olympics
The 2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, will see more than 10 000 athletes compete in 302 events in 28 sports. SABC2 announced yesterday, Wednesday, 25 June 2008, that it is the official public television broadcaster for the 29th Olympic Games taking place in Beijing, China, 8 - 24 August 2008. The official opening ceremony on Friday 8 August at the Beijing National Stadium will be broadcast live on SABC2 from 1pm - 5pm.
