I Am a wife and mother of 2. Have a certificate in Dental surgery assistant, executive secretary, dental office assistance, have 2 achievement awards for Top achievement from my secretarial class in 2010 and employee of the month in 2010 as well from Sechaba medical solutions.
I started work as a Dental assistant for a dental practice in Soweto for about 2 years (1998/Dec-2001/Feb), then moved to the healthcare sector and worked at a medical aid as a Dental assessor - capturing claims for payment purposes (2001/Feb-2004/Nov). At the end of Nov 2004 I moved to another medical aid to work as a Dental authorizations clerk processing authorization requests from providers and members either written/ telephonic request till 2007 July when I thought I needed a challenge to what I was currently doing and moved to another Medical aid (Sechaba medical aid) where I thought the job spec would be different form my previous job in a sense of more responsibility since the title was Dental facilitator but that wasn't the case and I found myself in a redundant space which resulted in me studying a secretarial course in order to pursue my administration passion. I qualified as a personal assistant and started job hunting but did not realize how difficult it is to get a job until I was retrenched in July and in the 2 and a half weeks I have spent at home I have realized that I am actually good at doing admin and have been short changing myself and now need to put that into good use which is why I decided to my energy on the freelance data capturing
