The first programme of the Baxter Dance Festival - Celebrating 10 years of Dance opened last night with performances by six dance companies, each showing off a different facet of the state of Cape Town's dance and choreographic arts.

Khayalethu Anthony is the writer and one-man performer of The Champion, the Zabalaza Theatre Festival's Best Production award winner, currently running at the Baxter Theatre's Golden Arrow Studio. The play has also won awards for Best Script and Most Outstanding Artist.
