I am a self motivated individual who is always looking for a new challenge. I have worked Colors Reproduction, Caxton Community newspapers (where I won numerous Caxton Awards) and the Future Group.
My name is Simone Tanja Anderson, a 33 year old, mother, wife and creative. I went to Boksburg High, which unfortunately did not cater (subject wise) for the career path I had chosen, so I decided to embark on the road to creative exploration, through Benoni Technical College. I graduated with three distinctions and a university entrance status. Afterwards, I chose the Vaal Triangle Technikon to further my studies in graphic design but found that an appreticeship in this field was a better choice in terms of making a name for myself in the design industry. Colors Reproduction opened its doors and this is where I finally got my hands dirty in the fields and process of design, print and layout. The experience was challenging and exciting and I excelled. It was only then that I progressed into the 'real' working world, where I joined Caxton Community newspapers for nine years. After reaching the top, winning numerous Caxton Awards as well as a Sanlam award, I decided to move on and joined the Future Group as a senior layout artist and designer for 5 years. In 2011, I left the Future Group to persue my freelance career. As a self motivated individual, I know I have the drive to succeed, and combined with great prospects and a head full of ideas I consider myself an asset. I am always up for a challenge and to learn something new but at the same time I'm a responsible and enthusiastic team player.
