I started my career with a BA in Visual Communication from AAA School of Advertising in 2008. Since then I have worked for a number of organisations over the past few years specialising in print design, post production/animation and web development while servicing a number of freelance clients on a part-time basis.
Show profile Hide profileI have often felt I am a “Jack of all trades” and never really been able to offer my full potential or experience to any one position. With this in mind, I feel I am well equipped to fulfil the requirements of this position while offering a fresh and energetic perspective to young creatives. I work well with others and look forward to sharing my experience with motivated, creative students.
I have extensive experience in professional and personal communication with clients in a consulting role. Most recently I have been working in web development where I have taught clients and friends the basics of using Wordpress as a custom web development platform and professional tool for communication and content management (CMS). While also developing websites for various individuals and brands on various platforms.
Initially practicing as a print designer in Johannesburg, I honed my skills in photo retouching and editing, layout and typographic design. After a year and a half I moved into animation and post-production where I was responsible for creating 2D animated videos, from brief through conseptualisation, design and final production.
On a personal note, I really enjoy being outdoors and, when it’s raining, scouring the internet for innovative technology and better ways of saving my phone’s battery life. I also make incredible cinnamon and lemon ice-cream.
