Will radio comedy and drama as in those days ever make a comeback? Guess it's like asking if Drive Inn's and Road Houses will ever be popular again? If we call online entertainment today, will we ask the same question (will it ever make a comeback?) in 2070?

It's an interesting time in the South African radio landscape happening now. The so called "new talent" (or younger talent) getting the opportunities on FM, replacing the seasoned presenters will have a difficult time to keep audience as on-line radio now has the opportunity to give those that have lost their jobs a platform to compete on an equal level (a level that community and commercial radio have not been able to compete with yet). Yes it is great to make it on national radio, but imagine what it's like in international terms! Where is the next BIG South African radio Star going to come from? All the best Sasha, we'll find you (and listen) never mind where you go.
