Show profile Hide profileNalwiindi Shakantu Pietersen or just Nalie was born in Zambia and moved to South Africa as a teenager. Nalie from her early years developed an interest and love for the film and television industry. After completing a course in acting for television and TV presenting at City Varsity, Nalie started her career in photographic modelling later moving in the arena of casting as extras in movies and music videos in Cape Town.
Not finding fulfilment in the realm of acting, Nalie found her true passion - to tell stories and so began her journey as a writer-producer. Nalwiindi believes in the power the television and film industry has in influencing society and wants to use the medium to make a positive change to people's lives. When starting on a new project, Nalie always attempts to challenge mind sets and try and influence audiences to make a positive change in their immediate surroundings and the planet.
In between working on film projects, Nalie is also an author of suspense thrillers and is the founding editor of The Elect Lady magazine. The Elect Lady is a Christian women lifestyle magazine that endeavours to inspire and motivate women to be all they were born to be. A wife and mother of 3, Nalie always ensures that what ever she writes publishes or produces that it will be family friendly and empowers communities.
