I have worked within the IT industry as a Microsoft systems engineer installing and maintaining MS servers through to 2008 server, including active directory design and adminsitration - GPO's user security DNS, DHCP, WINS, IIS, EXCHANGE and TERMINAL SERVICES, etc. This for the past 13 years I have also worked for 7 years in the telecommunications field - VoIP, WAN and LAN, QOS, ACL etc implementing and supporting CISCO, HP, 3COM as well as SAMSUNG IP based OFFICESERV products.

From June 1999 to March 2010 Malcolm was employed by Canon. During these ten years he gained various specialist product knowledge which enabled him to assist Sales Representatives in client analysis and solution proposals. The solutions created included new installations of Microsoft Servers and Cisco based routing products to integrated solutions making the best of existing hardware and software on the client site.
He has been involved in both Routing and Network Management Projects and Document Management Projects for various Blue Chip organisations. The Routing and Management Network Management Projects include setting up a Cisco based 18 site national network and complete building and maintenance of sites.
Malcolm has spent 6 years in Telecommunications at Canon Samsung, and holds a Level T5 Technical IP Expert qualification in Samsung IP based telecommunications. He has gained valuable experience in the roll out of large call centre operations, including Albert Luthuli Hospital, and a 120 IP extension over fibre roll out at the prestigious Hilton College among others. Malcolm has formed strong relations with the leading least cost routing suppliers,
such as DNS telecoms and has been included in training over the past 6 years at Autopage relating to both premi-cell and emerging IP based technologies.
His Microsoft skills have been developed over the past 13 years and include countless managed IIS sites and web based application hosting services over both client LAN and WAN. Most call centre installations included Microsoft Terminal services and HP thin clients which were both installed and managed on behalf of the client. Included in his extensive unified communications experience he has integrated and rolled out large Microsoft Exchange environments coupled with Rightfax electronic fax and sms based services. This, over both isdn BRI and PRI interfaces offering true DID based routing and email integration services.
As a result Malcolms overall experience is backed by the many projects which he has successfully completed, working for Canon Digital Solutions Team as a Microsoft Systems Engineer.
He was also responsible for the management of outside accounts and service providers namely ISP related fault analysis and service delivery, alongside Supplier specification and interfacing; these include HP Tarsus, Axiz, Mecer, Webstorm, Internet Solutions and BDS, the relations of which have been developed over the past 13+ years.
