Greg Castle is MD of Torquil Strategic Marketing, a strategic marketing planning and change management agency. With a marketing career spanning 20 years, his leadership experience spans a number of blue chip global and South African corporates including: HL&H Group, Kimberly-Clark, BASF and Rainbow Chickens.
Greg Castle is founding Managing Director of Torquil Strategic Marketing. Torquil is a strategic marketing planning and change management agency, partnering with a wide range of South African corporate and medium sized businesses, in the process of turning these businesses into sustainably marketing oriented, differentiated companies. Marketing orientation is something that needs to be led from the top of the organisation, to ensure customer/client focused alignment between all departments and sectors of the business. The end goal being to supply and / or serve all stakeholders and clients targeted needs beyond expectation.
Greg's career spans 15 years within the corporate world, having worked at executive management level within highly respected global and SA companies, including; HL&H, Kimberly-Clark, BASF, and Rainbow Chickens. It was during this time that he identified the need for greater marketing orientation within businesses and the gap in strategic business and marketing understanding on the part of ad agencies, whose focus is purely tactical in nature.
Torquil however also works closely with agencies on behalf of their clients, once the strategic planning process is completed, to help ensure optimal activation of the plan through tactical specialist agencies and service providers.
Greg is also founding proprietor of boutique winery, Brothers Wines, based in the Western Cape.
