Show profile Hide profileWhat is Multi Channel Marketing?
Multi Channel Marketing looks at all your channels to market, these can include websites, blogs, social media sites and even your direct sales team. In essence it is channels of communication, utilising different platforms to engage your audience, track their interest and response and leverage this information to better connect with your audience, build relationships and ultimately widen your sales pipeline.
It's much more than Website + SEO + Facebook + Twitter = Success. It takes a keen understanding of your audience, what they are looking for and how to incorporate this into a multi channel marketing strategy.
It's also a lot simpler than the traditional 'Snake Oil' Marketing of yesterday, where marketers 'fluffed up' a product or service with a 1001 tricks of the trade.
Multi channel marketing connects a brand and an audience and facilitates a two way conversation. It promotes honesty and transparency and if done correctly matures into Brand Love.
To achieve this goal, several points need to be taken into consideration. These typically include
"What does my Brand Identity look like?"
"How am I going to manage these channels of communication?"
"What am I going to say on all these platforms?"
"What is my customer User Experience with my brand?"
"How do I track the ROI of these marketing channels?"
and
"How do I utilise the data I collect to better my marketing efforts?"
It takes a person with a solid understanding of Brand Identity, Brand Strategy, Marketing Strategy, Customer Relationship Management and the technology resources available, to unite these into a working Multi Channel Marketing Strategy.
This is what I do.
