Paula Fray and Associates expands
Paula Fray and Associates welcomes Peta Krost Maunder and Nomusa Cembi to its management team. The arrival of these experienced journalists at PF&A is set to enhance the quality of training and services the company offers as it aims to be a driver of critical media initiatives on the continent.
Krost Maunder, former managing editor of multi-award winning current affairs television programme Carte Blanche, joins PF&A as operations manager. Her 20 years experience in the media, 14 on mainstream newspapers, brings to PF&A a set of diverse skills and a passion for the media.
Krost Maunder’s six years on Carte Blanche followed 14 as a newspaper journalist. She spent six years on the
Sunday Times before joining Independent Newspapers as part of the team that launched the
Sunday Independent and also worked on the
Saturday Star. Thereafter, she joined Carte Blanche.
Cembi has worked on radio, newspapers and magazines for 18 years. Former day news editor and education reporter for
The Star, she brings to PF&A critical news management experience.
Cembi worked on
The Echo, a supplement of the
Natal Witness, SABC Radio and the on the
EP Herald. In 2000, she became managing editor of Mafube Publishing’s
Enterprise Magazine before joining
The Star. Among other duties there, she was responsible for ensuring that young reporters and sub-editors were adequately trained.
