I hate Virgin Mobile!!

for all the ppl who have gotten ineffectual service from Virgin mobile...
For close on 4 months now i
have called the help centre in regard to my faulty phone that doesn't
work properly and needs repairs, i have called to the extent of 15 times, and have
gotten the run around constantly even when requesting a supervisor to
get back to me. Being told on every call that someone will get back to you within 1 or 2 has become an overused cliche to me.

I have tried to escalate this myself but to no avail...
The incompetence of the service is astonishing. All I wished for to have
someone pick up my mobile(Imate Kjam) for repairs with a replacement phone as i
require one. But to date nothing has happened, The
call centre staff are as friendly and as competent as a 3 yr old getting a scolding. THAT IS NO WAY TO OPERATE ANY BUSINESS!!!

I'm in Canada. I guess the poor service and lack of knowledge is world wide. All I want is to sign up and account for my daughter. I was a victim of fraud and had my online credit check block through Equifax (a service in Canada) in order to protect myself. After 5 days of repeated calls to both Equifax and Virgin Mobile, I have yet to get the problem resolved. The message I received from Equifax was the Virgin staff does not know the proper procedures to handle situations like mine and all it takes is one simple phone call to Equifax through their members contact phone line, everything will be cleared up. I've tried to assist Virgin with this task and was given the run around saying they've called Equifax and someone from Equifax will get back to them. After speaking with Equifax, I was told that's not how Equifax works. Equifax will provide their customers, in this case Virgin Mobile, an answer within matter of minutes once they speak with a Equifax representative. If this how they treat you before you become a customer, I hate to imagine how they will treat you once they have your money. The only reason I'm considering a Virgin account for my daughter is because they offer the most suitable package for her use. Virgin Mobile has fucked me over plenty a time, starting with trying to make me pay for service lost because of THEIR faults in my phone (sent away, they wanted me to pay for the service while it was gone), sending me back a CLEARLY still broken phone THREE times before I demanded either a new phone or I was leaving, and even then they give you as much hassle as possible. Virgin Mobile SUCKS.

I too hate virgin mobile-
I needed to transfer my mobile number to and fro but this has not been done. when I ring customer service all I get is hung up on and made to wait on hold listening to a voice activated service.

Have I ported my number across to them yet?

I cannot believe how incredibly bad Virgin mobile's service is. I have NEVER waited this long on a call in my life!

I too am a victim of their incompetence and attempted theft. Join the fb group above - Spread the word - I have 2 cans and string free for anyone who drops VM as a service provider. And you will find it a far more pleasurable experience. Posted on 2 Aug 2010 20:37

they are the worst!!! stay away from virgin mobile!-
gist- they sent me a phone that cannot be activated. took hours just to be told to return it for a refund (and return postage cannot be supplied by them if you do not yet have a phone number). returned it 3 weeks ago and have spent hours on phone, been hung up on several times, transferred multiple time each call and just trying to get someone to tell me when i can get refund.

I got a phone for my daughter, and other people have told me that Virgin Mobile is a really good phone service, so I decided to try it. I went on the $15 plan to start with, and my bill ended up not being $15, but over $200. I checked my bill, and I didn't quite understand why I was being charged so much, so I called customer service. They didn't help AT ALL. Said they weren't sure!!! Thinking that this was just a one time thing, because I just signed up, I paid the bill. Next month, the bill went up to $300!! I called to ask again, and they were absolutely no help. Unfortunately, I went on a 3-year contract, and I have no idea what to do.
I'm telling you, virgin mobile has friendly, but unknowledgeable staff, horrible customer support, and has huge, unbelieveable bills at the end of the month. Posted on 18 Mar 2010 23:26

It is impossible to get through to a real, english-speaking person. when you do, if you dont get hung up on, you will just go in circles. call ten times and you will get ten different answers. there are no such things as supervisors there apparently. they have outright lied to us in order to make money. i warn everyone considering them, even if it costs extra, GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY. NEVER GO FOR VIRGIN MOBILE!-
honestly, for people out there who decide to go on virgin, DO NOT! i repeat DO NOT go on virgin.
#1- callng in TAKES hours!!
Whenever i call in, i wait for more like 15 minutes to get to one line .. and when they pick up they tell me they have to transfer me over to the contract lne which then i wait for more than 30 mins.
honestly, within the past month, i've called in 3/4 times a week, and ended up hanging up. i'm fed up with them!
just to do a "resposibilty transfer" i had to call in 5 TIMES a day cus stupid workers don't know the procedure. in the end, i didn't even do the responsibilty transfer!~ i then called in the next day, to yell and complain and the worker then told me i had to hang up. a manager is going to call me and i hope to god i can do something about it, cus i have never ever dealt with such a horrible company before. I'd steer clear of Virgin Mobile Australia-
I've never had any issues with mobile services, so it was a bit of a shock to experience such woeful service from Virgin. There's a HUGE list of major issues...too long for here. Basically, they've swapped our personal info with others, failed to set up any basic admin functions, overcharged, misdirected and my service still isn't functioning properly. Want to know how many calls (to hopeless call centre) or letters, emails and faxes I've sent? Hopeless. Loved 'Three'...certainly was the magic no. for me. Loved their service, but my kids all on Virgin for free texts to their mates, so I swapped to save money...so hilarious how my phone charges are now five times (yes, FIVE!) as high....and I'm really not a big phone user. My experiences with Virgin branded companies were so appalling, Irealised the only way I would get satisfaction was to leave them..so I cancelled my Internet services with them, ported my mobiles awayfrom them, cancelled my credit card and moved the debt elsewhere, and best best of all, moved my $120k of superannuation away from them. THEY COMMITED FRAUD-
I had a 'grandfather plan' (really old) and the company decided they would get rid of the plan. All fine, with exception that NO ONE TOLD ME THEY WERE CANCELING the plan and on top of that THEY ILLEGALLY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD WITH A NEW PLAN I NEVER AGREED TO. That is considered FRAUD my friends. And trying to get this dealt with is IMPOSSIBLE. NO ONE WILL CALL ME BACK!!! This company needs to be abolished.

P.S PLEASE RELAY ALL COMPLAINTS TO the Better Business Bureau (available in both Canada and the US) so SOMETHING can be done! Posted on 10 Sep 2010 01:37

Hate Virgin Mobile with a passion-
Do NOT get Virgin Mobile Service and spread the word! Every single month I have an ongoing issue with my web and picture messaging (I am unable to send/recieve messages) and I have to waste hours of my life (each month) trying to get the issue resolved. They are idiots at the customer service department. I eventually speak to someone who's primary language is English when I get transfered to "technical support" and some how they magically resolve my problem for the time being. I am always told that it will take up to a week to fix which is crap when I am paying for services I am unable to use. I am done wasting my time with Virgin Mobile - they suck!
